In an effort to continue raising standards both academically and behaviourally at Tabernacle School we feel that it is essential that we continue to work together and encourage the children in order to achieve this.
As an incentive for students to develop and maintain good behaviour and academics we promote the merit system. Merits are awarded for students fulfilling criteria such as outstanding effort in class, 100% weekly attendance and punctuality, reaching or surpassing their subject specific targets, consistently good work, dress code (standard uniform, PE kit, swim wear), scripture memory.
The merits are collated and students get an opportunity to use the merits as a form of currency to purchase items from our school merit shop each term. Furthermore, at the end of the academic year any student that has shown exemplar or outstanding behaviour and attitude to learning will be rewarded by going on a rewards trip.
We are kindly asking all parents to support the school’s merit shop system by donating items for early years, primary and secondary students.
You can donate:
Please bring all items to the school and a member of staff will ensure that they are stored until they are required for the merit shop.
