Tabernacle School is a Christ centred Independent school offering educational opportunities for students from Pre-School through to Year 11. The focus is to educate and develop the student as a whole in an effort to fulfil the experiences, academic Endeavour’s and aspirations of each individual that will lead to exceptional results. In addition to the core subjects, excellence is exemplified through the teaching of biblical principles that are foundational to each student’s development.

Successful candidates should:

​

  • preferably be committed to excellence in Christian education.

  • be familiar with the new GCSE specification and procedures.

  • write schemes of work.

  • write lesson plans.

  • practice differentiation in the classroom.

  • design lessons based on students' learning styles.

  • group students by shared interest, topic or ability for assignments.

  • assess students' learning using summative and formative assessment.

  • manage the classroom to create a safe and supportive environment.

  • be able to inspire students of all abilities to learn and make good progress.

  • be able to work with management supervision.

  • be self-motivated and flexible. 

  • be able to work on their own initiative and meet deadlines.

Music teacher should be able to teach orchestral music (wind and strings instruments - piano, preferably but not essential)
